Frequently asked questions
Is eAuszug a public authority?
No. eAuszug is a private ordering service based in Switzerland. We order the extract on your behalf from the responsible debt enforcement office (Betreibungsamt), which issues it and receives the official fee of CHF 18.00.
What does a debt collection extract cost?
One extract costs CHF 24.90, each additional municipality in the same order CHF 21.90, including the official fee.
How do I pay?
Directly when ordering, with TWINT, PostFinance, credit or debit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. There are no invoices.
How quickly will I receive it?
Usually within 1 to 2 working days, depending on the office.
I have moved. Do I need several extracts?
Yes, if you want a complete picture. Each extract only shows the records of one office. With eAuszug you list all places of the last 5 years in one order.
Is the electronic extract valid?
Yes. The office signs the PDF electronically; you can verify the signature for free at validator.ch.
I am new to Switzerland. Can I get an extract?
Yes, once you are registered with your municipality. It is usually empty, which landlords know and accept.
What is a Betreibungsauszug?
Betreibungsauszug or Betreibungsregisterauszug is the German name of the debt collection register extract. Swiss landlords ask for it in almost every rental application.
